We'd love to hear from you About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Digital Risk, Controls and Optimisation (DRCO) team, as a Digital Risk & Controls Manager. As part of our wider DRCO team we work closely with the Digital teams and Third Parties to identify and manage the risk environment with appropriate and timely processes, services, and metrics that enables the efficient, resilient and secure delivery of Digital services across HL and its clients. You will work closely with our Digital leaders, managers and stakeholders providing guidance, support and challenge to embed and improve the digital organisation and its management of the technology risk and control environment. What you'll be doing Conducting regular risk assessments to identify digital risks related to cybersecurity, data privacy, digital operations and supporting third parties. Evaluating the impact and likelihood of identified risks and prioritize them based on potential impact on the firm. Providing support to guide risk mitigation activities and controls to reduce identified risks to an acceptable level. Collaborating with IT, Legal, Compliance, and other relevant departments to ensure integrated risk management efforts. Ensuring that all policies and procedures comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices. Monitoring the effectiveness of risk mitigation strategies and controls through continuous assessment and review. Preparing and presenting regular reports on digital risk status, incidents, and key risk indicators to senior management and the board of directors. Supporting and / or conducting post-incident analysis to identify root causes and improve operation. Supporting the development and delivery of training programs to raise awareness of digital risks among colleagues and stakeholders. About you Proven 1L/2L risk management experience in a large firm, ideally Financial Services, with an understanding of current and emerging technology risks facing FS organisations. Demonstrable experience of risk assessment, control testing, risk reporting with a focus on continuous improvement, simplification, automation, and quality. Strong knowledge and focus on technology, security and data management principles that support the delivery of the firm's objectives. Good relationship building and influencing skills, working with and challenging when appropriate, other colleagues. High proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, working independently but also able to work effectively as part of a team. Good awareness of evolving good practice across technology, cyber and data management. Ability to raise, articulate and escalate risks and provide firm challenge at relevant levels. Interview Process This role will be a two-stage interview process, consisting of a competency/behavioural based interview and a presentation task. Working Schedule We are based in Bristol, BS1 5HL. This role is permanent, full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. We have returned to the office, however for this role we offer a flexible working pattern to enable you the option of working from home and coming into the office. Why us?
