Essential Requirements Current valid driving licence, you will have either a recognised degree or diploma in town planning (or related subject) that allows membership of the RTPI, or a qualification which gives you eligibility to secure a place on an accredited planning course, or a minimum of 2 years experience of working within planning/development management.
The Role:
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated Planning Discharge of Condition Officer to sit within the Development Management, Planning Team. You will be responsible for validating, assessing, negotiating and conducting site visits for a dynamic caseload of discharge of condition applications. You will work alongside the team of planning and enforcement officers to deliver efficient and timely decisions.
The post will provide an excellent opportunity to work within a busy development management team, to gain experience of the overarching planning system.

About You:
You will have the ability to work cooperatively and effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will have excellent organisational, time management and communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively both verbally and in writing. You will have a positive ‘can do’ approach to work with the desire to make a difference to the quality of the built environment.
