Eden Brown Synergy has an exciting opportunity for a Social Worker with an interest in joining a Multi-disciplinary team providing mental health services in a low secure, rehabilitation, and acute inpatient setting supporting women.
The Social Worker would have experience gained in the NHS or Private sector managing complex caseloads, social care assessments, and family-focused work that supports and optimises involvement and collaborative solutions.
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the Social Worker would support women with severe mental health illnesses, personality disorders, and learning disabilities, ensuring positive outcomes through their care pathway. The Social Worker would mainly be working in the Acute ward; however, they would be required to have oversight of other service areas.
The Social Worker will build positive and professional working relationships while focusing on personalisation and recovery to facilitate positive, self-directed change. The Social Worker will provide guidance to other team members.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Facilitating access to welfare rights, housing, advocacy services, and associated support services
2. Participation in and provision of 1:1 supervision
3. Reporting to safeguarding agencies and regulatory bodies
4. Attending safeguarding meetings with Local Authorities
5. Educating hospital staff about relevant safeguarding matters
Minimum Requirements:
1. A Social Work Degree with an active Social Work England Registration
2. At least 12 months UK direct Social Work experience
3. Experience within mental health inpatient settings including Acute services, PICU, High Dependency, and Secure Forensic
4. Strong knowledge of relevant MH legislation, MAPPA, the processes of MP, MHRT, CPA, and associated reports
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Strong assessment and care planning abilities
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative MDT
8. Excellent understanding of Safeguarding requirements and duty to refer to external agencies
9. A Driver's License (full UK) with access to a Vehicle and willingness to undertake home risk assessments
