Job Title: Assessment Manager
Salary: £34,500 - £44,840 per annum
Location: Cambridge/Hybrid
Contract: Full Time, 16-month Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity – 35 hours per week
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Assessment Services team as an Assessment Manager, where you will use your flair for innovative and forward-thinking approaches to manage the production of high-quality assessment content and development of new assessment products.

About the role
We are looking for an ESOL/EFL professional with a keen interest in assessment. You'll manage the production of test content and be involved in a wide range of assessment processes, from test design to analysing marking and results.
As an Assessment Manager, you will oversee teams of test material writers, ensuring the editing and proofreading of test materials are completed to the highest standards. You will be responsible for developing and updating key documentation, ensuring all materials are current and accurate. Additionally, you will handle various assessment-related administrative tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of the assessment processes.
You will also:
1. Drive efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
2. Initiate and contribute to research projects to enhance assessment services.
3. Participate in exam reviews, providing valuable insights and feedback.
4. Develop new testing services, including innovative automated digital assessment products.
About you
You will possess excellent interpersonal and people management skills, strong organisational and administrative abilities, and the capacity to evaluate texts and exam questions.
Attention to detail, including proofreading skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial. Flexibility and adaptability are also important.
You will have a recognised entry-level EFL/ESOL teaching qualification, such as Cambridge CELTA, or equivalent with relevant experience with exam boards. Experience in materials production and evaluation, along with a strong interest in educational assessment, is also required.
