Ortho Europe is now looking to recruit a Trainee Orthotic Technician to join our team in Bradford.
Working at Bradford
Trainee Orthotic Technicians are key members of our Manufacturing Team in Bradford which includes specialisms such as Footwear, Insole, Pattern & Design, Plastics, Seating, Sewing, Shoe Making & Uppers capability. The role holder will be trained to work on and produce bespoke orthotic and prosthetic medical devices, utilising manufacturing equipment, techniques & skills bespoke to the facility at Bradford.
Job role summary
As a Trainee Orthotic Technician, you will join our Manufacturing Team. This position offers a great deal of variety. You will receive on-the-job training to include the following:
* Hand tool skills
* Componentry assembly
* Training on various production machines
* Health and safety awareness
* Product knowledge
Key Responsibilities:
* The Trainee Technician's roles in Bradford are varied in nature and responsibilities will include the following:
* Hand tool skills.
* Componentry assembly.
* Ensuring correct materials/components are issued for the task and that appropriate equipment and tools are available.
* Complete and maintain production and inspection records as required.
* Ensure adequate identification of work at all stages is maintained at all times.
* Ensure that the department is kept up to acceptable standards of housekeeping, maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
* Work progressed against Standard Operating Procedures.
* Ensure all work order documentation is accurately completed and accompanies the product through the production cycle.
* Always work within the company quality system.
* Comply with all required health and safety standards.
* Assist with any other work in the various Bradford production departments as required.
