Hours of Work: 35 hours per week. Hours of work 14:00 - 22:00 with flexibility where needed.
As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you'll oversee the operational procedures of the warehouse and the team of Partners working in it to ensure the smooth running of our supply chain operation. Ensuring stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers in our shops.
You'll support the personal development of your team, creating a culture of inclusion and growth for everyone.
This role is 35 hours per week, working the 14:00 - 22:00 shift. You will also be required to cover the duty manager responsibility on a rotating basis, so flexibility is expected. This shift attracts a 25% shift premium (which is calculated from the base of the pay range).
Due to its nature, you need to be 18 years or older to work in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Working in our supply chain operation is fast-paced as we aim to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time for our customers. On a day-to-day basis, you'll be responsible for:
1. Ensuring Health and Safety and all legislative and operational procedures are adhered to.
2. Keeping the operation working smoothly, identifying areas for improvement and implementing these with your team.
3. Leading and developing a high performing team, acting as a role model for the Partnership.
4. Making sure all Partners are treated fairly and respectfully.
5. Supporting the wider teams within your site when required, including deputising for the Warehouse Shift Manager in their absence.
6. Managing the entire site in the absence of the General Manager and Warehouse Operations Manager.
Essential skills you'll need
- PC and numerically literate.
- Senior management experience (managing large teams preferable in a FMCG company).
- Experience working in a management role in Distribution/Warehouse environment with knowledge of working with warehouse management systems.
- Extensive knowledge of Health and Safety legislations.
- Experience of dealing with full disciplinary procedures according to ACAS guidelines.
Desirable skills you may have
- Continuous Improvement Level 1 Business Excellence Training.
