We are looking to recruit a Group Estates Surveyor, based in the South/South West region of the country where the role will span across Connells Group Business’s with particular focus on supporting the Estates Department in the management of its High Street Estate Agency offices and other Group offices/buildings. While this is a home based role we are looking for someone who has a flexible approach on working hours in line with business requirements and the ability to visit sites. Your Responsibilities Will Include Assisting the Group Property Director with statutory requirements throughout the Group’s portfolio Assisting the Group Property Director in day to day management of the portfolio with lease, legal and maintenance issues Assisting the Group Property Director on its acquisition and disposal programme Liaising with agents, landlords and tenants in dealing with rent reviews, lease renewals, break options and dilapidations Negotiating dilapidation claims Assisting with the management of fit-out & refurbishment projects Carrying out site inspections Attending meetings to represent Department/Company in property matters Liaising with external agents regarding business rates Point of contact for agents, landlords and tenants Dealing with vacant properties Assisting the Group Property Director to prepare annual budgets Collating information to assist in providing monthly & annual Board reports The ideal candidates will be a Chartered Surveyor but not essential. The Role Will Require Strong knowledge and understanding of Estate Management/Health & Safety/and Maintenance Understanding of CDM/Contractor Management Computer proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel & working with spreadsheets Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Good organisational skills and an ability to work on own initiative Good attention to detail A positive work attitude and an ability to be flexible to meet the changing needs of the work environment. Ability to travel UK wide for Meetings and Training requirements.
