The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Valuer to join our Projects & Property Team. The Projects & Property Team is responsible for the transformation, development, and management of the council's estate through its Strategic Asset Management Plan.
In this role, you will work collaboratively with contractors, colleagues across the organisation, and our partners in North Somerset to ensure all our assets are well managed and deliver the expected outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
The Valuer will support the delivery of the Council’s Strategic Asset Management Plan, including the development of the Corporate Landlord Model of estate management. You will have knowledge and experience of the property and asset functions, which could include rationalisation and delivery of council accommodation, acquisition and disposals, landlord and tenant activities. Additionally, you will support the provision of a Valuation and Estate Management Service covering Valuations, Landlord and Tenant, and all aspects of managing the Council’s Commercial, Agricultural & Housing Estates.
Valid driving licence and own transport, or the ability to provide an alternative, suitable method of travel, is an essential condition for this role.
Work Style

However, please note that during the induction period, it may be necessary to spend more time in the office to support your learning and development. We are flexible and open to discussions about your preferred working style, and if you wish to be in the office more frequently, this can be negotiated.
This role falls into the category of Flexible Worker, which means you can expect to work in the following way:
* 2-3 days in the office
* Work both from home and the office, depending on the task at hand.
* Training is provided to help balance work-life and manage time effectively, with an emphasis on communication for team touchpoints and planning in-office days for collaboration.
