Our client is a busy, well established, design, manufacturing and installation company based in Driffield, East Yorkshire. They offer nationwide mechanical engineering and bulk processing services, from manufacture of small components to large turnkey installation projects. The Company is ISO 9001:2015 accredited and maintains a Factory Production Control System certified in accordance with EN 1090-1: 2009+A1:2011 in order to achieve execution class 2 .
The role
We are looking for a full-time experienced Design Engineer to join their expanding team. They will produce detailed drawings and plans from site survey information and client specifications. A high level of accuracy and organisational skills is required. The candidate will work closely with Senior Designers, Project Engineers in a fast-paced environment to create engineering solutions to suit project requirements and deadlines.
The successful candidate must be highly motivated with the ability to work to deadlines, as part of a team and as an individual. An understanding of the need for excellent customer service is very important.
Essential candidate requirements:
SolidWorks Training ModulesAssembly modelling, Advanced part modelling, Weldments, Sheetmetal
Mechanical Engineering background
Understanding of manufacture processes and materials
Desirable candidate requirements:
Time served engineering apprenticeship
HNC Mechanical Engineering or suitable engineering degree
Experience of working with bulk materials and handling/process equipment
Ability to carry out site measure and surveys
Knowledge and familiarity of survey equipment. E.g. 3D Scanning and interpretation of cloud data
Work schedule
8 hour shift Monday to Friday
Day shift
Overtime after 40 hours per week at time and a half rate
