The Precision Health Strategic Research Initiative aims to enable research in precision health across the University of Cambridge that will be instrumental in the transition to preventative medicine. Precision health is a new era of medicine, shifting the paradigm of medicine from a focus on patients who present with disease towards the prevention of disease in healthy individuals. We are looking for an experienced Coordinator, who will be based within our Electrical Engineering Building in West Cambridge, to help develop a strategy for the Initiative as well as plan and deliver the implementation of the strategy. In order to achieve this, you will work closely with the Chairs of the initiative, the Steering Committee and broader Working Groups, developing and managing relationships with stakeholders within the University as well as more widely. You will take an active role in communicating and promoting the activities of the initiative both to members of the Initiative and the general public. The successful candidate will have a good first degree or equivalent qualification and a PhD in a relevant field would be desirable. Excellent writing and IT skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure, are essential and previous experience with funding applications and fund-raising would be beneficial. We are looking for someone with administrative or project management experience, preferably gained in a research-related role within a higher education, industry, or government environment and prior knowledge and understanding of precision health-related research would also be desirable.
