About the Role Are you passionate about maintaining safe, clean, and well-regulated communities? We are seeking a dedicated Civil Enforcement Officer to join our team. In this role, you will patrol the district, ensuring compliance with parking and environmental regulations while helping to keep our community safe and welcoming. Key Responsibilities: Enforcement & Monitoring: Patrol public highways and council car parks, issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs), and enforce Public Space Protection Orders. Environmental Protection: Gather evidence on littering, fly-tipping, and fly-posting while working with law enforcement agencies to tackle anti-social behaviour. Community Engagement: Participate in public awareness campaigns and engage with local businesses and residents to promote sustainable practices. Asset & Vehicle Management: Inspect council assets, ensure proper upkeep of public areas, and operate council vehicles. Conflict Resolution: Handle confrontational situations professionally and represent the council with authority and integrity. About You We are looking for someone who: ✅ Has knowledge of UK civil and environmental legislation. ✅ Can communicate effectively and work well both independently and as part of a team. ✅ Can handle challenging situations with confidence and professionalism. ✅ Has experience in enforcement or a similar field (preferred but not essential). ✅ Holds a full UK driving licence.
