An exciting opportunity has become available for 2 x Locally Employed Foundation Year 2 Doctors to join our team in Emergency Medicine at the Queens Hospital Burton site.
The rotation is initially offered on a fixed term contract until 5th August 2025. Depending on the wishes of the successful applicant, there may be an opportunity to be extended, based on successful, objective progression throughout the post, onto a longer-term contract subject to the placement of doctors in training rotation.
Post one: Commencing 4th December 2024 until 5th August 2025
Post two: Commencing 4th February until 5th August 2025
The post would be ideal for those who are:
• Considering a career in Emergency Medicine or Acute Specialties and looking for the support and training required to successfully apply for a training post.
• Planning to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine or Acute Specialties and looking to undertake their training at Queens Hospital Burton via the Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration (CESR) route.
• Undecided on a career path and are looking to undertake an additional acute post prior to future applications.

These posts will include clinical experience in Emergency Department as well as specific teaching, training and support depending on career aspirations.
The post holder is expected to commit to ongoing personal development and to show a commitment to maintaining and developing skills and professional knowledge relevant to the post, and to develop a portfolio of evidence.

Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice at time of application is essential. Applicants must also be eligible to work in the UK and have excellent skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable highly effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues.
