Location: Worthing, West Sussex (Hybrid Working Available after training - 3 times a week in the office)
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: Up to £43,700 (Depending on Experience)

At Southern Water, we are expanding our Developer Services team, and were looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to play a key role in shaping the future of our water connection services. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a dynamic team, support our customers, and ensure the successful management of key projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Lead and Inspire– Manage a team of 9 technical and customer service professionals, supporting their development and ensuring industry compliance.
2. Customer-Focused Leadership– Be the key contact for housing developers and homeowners, guiding them through their journey from planning to connection.
3. Technical Oversight– Oversee the evaluation and approval of applications for new water connections (Section 45), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
4. Engineering Problem Solving– Deliver innovative and practical solutions for complex developer applications.
5. Stakeholder Engagement– Represent Southern Water at meetings with customers, developers, and key stakeholders to maintain strong industry relationships.
6. Regulatory Excellence– Stay ahead of industry and regulatory changes, updating technical guidance and ensuring governance compliance.
7. Performance Management– Drive the success of our Developer Services team by meeting key performance targets, including D-MeX qualitative and quantitative measures.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience leading a team in a customer-focused, target-driven environment.
* Strong background in civil engineering, construction, utilities, or telecoms within a corporate setting.
* Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
