Our client, a very successful recycling company, is looking to recruit a workshop and office manager/administrator. This will be an important role serving two parts of the business:
1. Office Team: Coordinating various tasks such as HR admin, payroll admin, managing fuel cards and credit cards for the team of drivers, and ordering office supplies.
2. Workshop Management: Managing the ordering of parts, invoicing, keeping MOT and vehicle inspection records up to date, and managing the admin with DVSA.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Make daily orders of motor parts from various suppliers.
2. Process supplier invoices for approval.
3. Invoice 3rd party motor work that has been carried out.
4. File and maintain HGV inspection reports and MOT certificates.
5. Order and maintain credit cards and fuel cards for new joiners and leavers.
6. Pull together payroll submissions based on working time from various staff and departments.
7. Order office stationery.
8. Handle ad-hoc office admin requests.
Key Requirements:
1. Must be IT literate with a good understanding of MS Word and Excel.
2. Strong communication skills and a good phone manner.
3. Highly organized and able to keep on top of various timetables of vehicle inspection and repair.
4. Honest and trustworthy.
5. Good time-keeping.
6. Flexible.
7. Previous experience of working in a motor workshop environment is an advantage.
8. Attention to detail is critical for this role.
