Senior Therapist (Long-Term Condition Lead)

Are you an existing or aspiring Senior HIT (CBT) Therapist, looking to broaden your Leadership & Management experience within a Talking Therapies service? Surrey Talking Therapies (provided by SABP, one of 5 x providers in the County) are looking to strengthen our Senior Management Team.
You will join a large (100+) team of trainee & qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychology/Psychotherapy Therapists, serving a diverse population of 1.2m. You will take a management lead role on quality/service development initiatives focusing on improving access to psychological therapies, reducing health inequalities and unnecessary waiting times, improving our Reliable Improvement/Recovery rates (to ensure the best possible outcomes) as well as the overall patient experience.
Candidates should have a highly-developed knowledge of NHS Talking Therapies provision, considerable experience working as a therapist in such service, and a sound understanding of national/local demands and targets. Clinical Supervision is provided by our Consultant/Deputy Clinical Lead and Line Management Supervision from our Business Manager/Operational Lead, based at one of our 4 x locality offices and offered flexible working arrangements.
Main duties of the job
Provide a qualified specialist psychological assessment & therapy service for anxiety and depression to clients, within one or more psychological therapy models specified by the NHS Talking Therapies for anxiety and depression Manual.
Providing expert advice & guidance to psychological therapists and other professionals. Supervision of other colleagues including trainee High Intensity Therapists and Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, as well as trainees. Provide risk duty cover to include screening, urgent risk advice, discussion with referrers about suitability, review & manage incidents (DCIQ) and represent the service at locality/place-based pathway forums.
Senior Clinical oversight of all LTC workstreams, maintaining records of LTC-trained clinicians, arranging LTC training places and supporting those to complete the training (including the training cases), and ensuring modality-appropriate supervision is available. Lead on LTC expansion planning, engaging with the FuturesNHS Collaboration Platform on best practice national updates / regional priorities and monitoring access and recovery rates for those with LTC's.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* NHS Talking Therapies High Intensity CBT Postgraduate Diploma, or a recognised postgraduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (or postgraduate level training conferring equivalent competences)
* Accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy (BABCP) achieved through training and experience with adults with anxiety and depression.
* Evidence of having completed the Talking Therapies LTC Top-up Training
* Evidence of post qualification training in clinical CBT supervision
Experience
* Specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients within an NHS Talking Therapies service
* Working with a variety of patient groups and presenting problems, including co-morbidities, that reflect a range of clinical severity
* Effective postgraduate teaching, training and clinical supervision within the modality
* Co-ordinating psychological therapies provision across an NHS Talking Therapies service, developing and implementing policy based on the NHS Talking Therapies Manual
Knowledge
* Effective care pathway navigation across primary and secondary care psychological therapies services
* Knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, multivariate data analysis as practiced within the clinical field of psychological therapies
