Role Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our team, where you will be responsible for leading the analysis of complex steel structures utilising Eurocodes, British Standards and BAE standards. You will use computer-based analytical techniques, including finite element analysis, CAD modelling and engineering schematics (Abaqus, S-Frame), to ensure that designs meet contractual requirements and are delivered on time.
About the Role:
This is a technical leadership position that requires a high level of expertise in structural steel analysis and mechanical engineering. You will work closely with design engineers to produce equipment and/or support operation in production to produce safety-critical equipment.
Your Skills and Experience:
* A recognised degree in engineering or equivalent, or extensive years' experience with relevant skills and qualifications;
* Expertise in structural steel analysis and good understanding of mechanical engineering and structural steelwork;
* Working knowledge of ABAQUS (Software) Foran, MathCAD and Excel, with previous experience in a production environment an advantage;
* Ability to work in a busy environment, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
