Community Staff Nurse 0-19 Universal Children's Services
A Band 5 vacancy for a Registered Nurse/Childrens Nurse to work as a Community Staff Nurse within Thurrock and join the Healthy Families service working alongside the Health Visiting and School Health teams, with the opportunity to apply for the specialist community public health nursing course in health visiting or school nursing.

We have a very innovative Team in Thurrock and we have developed a very robust partnership working across the Children's services to ensure we deliver the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and quality healthcare services to improve the health and well-being within the diverse community which we serve.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a Registered Nurse/children's Nurse; have proven experience of working in multi-disciplinary and multi-agency settings with a positive attitude towards actively engaging difficult to reach client populations. You will have experience of working closely with families and an understanding of the whole family approach to care.

Work in accordance to the Locality commissioned service specification, under the delegation of the Health Visiting and School Nursing team to ensure that the full-service provision is attained.
Job responsibilities
* To support the delivery of 0-19 Universal Services in the delivery of the Healthy Child Programme
* To participate in the development of skill mix within the 0-19 Universal Services Team
* To participate in Health Education programs and health promotion activities on the multi-disciplinary basis as agreed by the 0-19 Universal Services
