About the role:
As an NDE Technician (LPI / MPI) you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity of our industrial products. You will be responsible for executing rigorous inspections to detect surface and subsurface defects, collaborating with our quality assurance teams, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our processes. Main duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct LPI and MPI on castings and welds according to established procedures.
- Set up, calibrate, and operate testing equipment for accurate results.
- Interpret and evaluate testing results to identify potential defects.
- Document all testing procedures and findings per company and regulatory standards.
- Uphold strict safety protocols during testing operations.
- Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to analyse results and suggest corrective actions.
- Maintain and calibrate testing equipment regularly.
- Contribute to the enhancement of NDE techniques and procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in NDE technology and UK regulations.
- Mentor and train junior technicians as necessary.
About you:
You are a certified NDE Technician with SNT-TC-1A Level 2 and ISO 9712 Level 2 qualifications in LPI and MPI, recognised in the UK. Your technical background is supported by GCSEs or equivalent, and additional training is preferred. You have proven experience in LPI and MPI within an industrial setting, showcasing your strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail. You excel in both independent and collaborative environments, communicate effectively, and are physically capable of performing various testing duties, including working in confined spaces. Your enthusiasm for continuous learning and openness to further training align perfectly with our values.
