Our Dementia Friends programme raises absolutely essential awareness of dementia, but we need you to make it happen As a Dementia Friends Ambassador, you’ll be changing attitudes about dementia by delivering Dementia Friends Sessions and interacting with the public on a regular basis. A representative in your local area, you’ll also be raising awareness of the work of Alzheimer’s Society, helping to ensure people affected by dementia are aware of the vital information and support we offer, and people or businesses know about the ways in which they can support us. This could include handing out our leaflets, encouraging the public to access our services and attending local events and talks. There are lots of other exciting ways you can get involved too, such as being a friendly face at local fundraising events, sharing social media posts or putting up posters.
