Business Operations and Transformation (BO&T) is a newly formed organisation within VOIS of over 300 employees, led by the Business Operations and Transformation Director and his LT. BO&T operates across all of VOIS locations including in UK, Germany, India, Egypt, Hungary and Romania.
BO&T plays a leading role in setting and managing the drumbeat by which VOIS runs its business – across governance, quality and transformation agenda in support of, and as an enabler of excellence, transparency and consistency across the VOIS service towers. The team also leads the significant transformation agenda underpinning the VOIS business plan, including VOIS enablement and cost optimisation.
To support this team, the current people focus is on cultural transformation, capability development, employee engagement, organisational effectiveness and talent management (as well as upskilling in future skills and enriching diversity.)
Role Purpose:
The role will be responsible for leading the HR agenda, with a key focus on organisational and team effectiveness (which are increasingly key as we move into digital and more agile ways of working), talent management and building future skills and leadership capabilities to ensure our people are fit for the future. As a co-pilot to the business functions being supported, the HRBP role is required to guide leaders with coaching and feedback to support their personal effectiveness and the broader growth and development of the team.
You will also be required to work with other HRBP’s across VOIS to drive cross-functional global projects, which will involve working with the broader HR & BO&T leadership team. This may include, amongst others, a range of ongoing VOIS transformation programmes such as the broader skills transformation from an HR perspective, our cultural change programme and/or location and insourcing strategy.
What you’ll do
* Supports leaders in defining, developing and executing local people plans that support the achievement of the business strategy. Ensures that People plans are integrated with wider HR strategy, policies & priorities.
* Accountable for the delivery of the annual people calendar activities within our objectives and strategy.
* Translates and supports the delivery of the talent strategy. Drives pipeline of diverse future leaders and accelerates high potential development while driving the Diversity & Inclusion agenda.
* HR thought leadership to build, buy and develop future strategic capabilities for BO&T such as PMO, agile, business excellence.
* Continually challenges the business, instigating and managing transformation projects in the domains being supported that improve organisation, team and individual effectiveness including organisational effectiveness & design, skills development & talent management.
* Provides feedback and coaching to the relevant leaders being supported, and ensures all leaders & people managers are equipped to drive employee engagement.
* Advocates & supports the use of the HR operating model, acting as role model and facilitator to ensure business areas adhere to, and HR deliver to agreed service.
* Proactively manages the HR Business Partner supplier interfaces to ensure a seamless customer experience.
* Provides support within the HR team to peers and coaching to more junior members of the team.
Who you are
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
Commercially savvy / good depth of business understanding.
Good breadth of HR experience.
Strong relationship & coaching skills; strong communicator.
Analytical, intellectual capacity to learn very quickly.
Experience of large matrixed blue chip organisations.
Experience of supporting organisational transformation, capability building and working with ambiguity.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
HR Professional Qualifications desirable but not essential.
Understanding of Telco and shared services business models, capabilities and labour market (advantageous).
