IT Support Apprentice – ITSD

A Typical Day in the Job:
* Assisting with security processes such as password resets, antivirus configuration, and implementing client policies.
* Accessing technical documentation through the knowledge base in the Halo PSA ticketing system.
* Supporting with SLAs, escalations, and tracking tasks through the ticketing system.
* Providing technical support to both internal and external clients—mainly external—via face-to-face, remote, phone, and email support.
* Using troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, PowerShell, Command Prompt, and Task Manager to diagnose and fix issues.
* Installing and upgrading hardware, including routers, switches, firewalls, RAM, and PC builds from scratch.
* Configuring and upgrading software remotely using systems like Enable and TeamViewer.
* Working with network devices, including installations of routers, switches, and patch management.
* Gaining experience with cloud technologies, including Microsoft 365, Azure, and Jump Cloud.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
Desired Qualities, Skills, and Knowledge:
* Passionate about technology and eager to learn.
* Customer service experience is a bonus.
* A Grade 5/C in GCSE English and a Grade 4/C in GCSE Maths is required for this role.
Salary, Hours & Benefits:
* £18,000 to £20,000 per annum.
* Monday to Friday, 9:00 am – 5:30 pm (1-hour unpaid lunch).
* Pension contributions.
* Opportunity to progress into a full-time role or a Level 4 Network Engineer apprenticeship.
