The opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for an Occupational Health team member to join our supportive team on a permanent basis on site at Dungeness.
We are looking for an Occupational Health Technician, an Occupational Health Nurse or an Occupational Health Advisor within the team supporting and working with staff ranging from new to legacy EDF employees where you will provide comprehensive advice and guidance on statutory legislation affecting Occupational Health.
The role is based full time on site at Dungeness with flexible hours, and the opportunity for overtime is available if desired. This is paid at either time and a half, or double time at weekends, or can be claimed as TOIL. Advance notice will always given for any necessary overtime.

What you’ll be doing
As our next Occupational Health team member, you will offer a focused driven mind-set for all Occupational Health matters liaising with staff and managers as appropriate. You will provide comprehensive advice and guidance on statutory legislation affecting Occupational Heath for our EDF employees. You will also:
1. Conduct Health Surveillance, which may include spirometry, audiology, skin assessment, hand arm vibration and radiation worker medicals
2. Conduct Fitness for Work Medicals, and wellbeing medicals
3. Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing.
4. Provide advice on mental health issues, utilising the mental health indicator tools.
5. Organise health promotion information and liaise with outside organisations as appropriate.
6. Update and maintain accurate health records.
7. Assist the other team members monitoring compliance with statutory requirements and collate relevant data.
Who you are
As we are looking for an Occupational Health Clinician who is either an Occupational Health Technician, Nurse or Advisor, please see below breakdown of requirements:
Occupational Health Advisor
For this level of role, you will need an OH qualification and a minimum of 3 years OH experience, ideally with some management experience
Occupational Health Nurse
For this level of role, you will need a Registered Nurse qualification, with OH experience.
Occupational Health Technician
For this level of role, you will have OH experience. Ideally you will have the SOM OHT qualification, but this is not essential, but you will be sponsored to undertake this qualification.
