We have an exciting opportunity for an Enforcement Support Officer to join our team. If you would like a job where no two days are the same and to also have the chance to make a real difference to Road Safety & Environmental Standards, we’d love to hear from you!
To provide support by means of stopping vehicles for other enforcement staff, thus contributing to the maintenance and improvement of Road Safety & Environmental Standards.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Directing / causing vehicles to stop, using vehicles or other methods, to enable staff from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to undertake road safety inspections.
* Contributing to the efficiency of roadside checks by making sure the equipment and vehicles are available and fit for use.
* Providing basic IT and clerical support during roadside checks, and other associated tasks.
* Carrying out minimum maintenance and upkeep of “High-Viz” vehicles (oil, water, tyre pressures & condition etc).
* Assisting in the administration of the check site by confirming staff resources are available.
* Assisting the Area Management Team in ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.
