Job Description
MID-SENIOR/SENIOR PRODUCT DESIGNER (more on the UI-side)
Up to £60,000-£80,000
Hybrid working - 2 days in the London office per week
Sponsorship or fully remote working is not available.
Working for a start-up who provide an AI-powered tool that quickly tests and reviews design prototypes, providing feedback to improve them early in the process.
They're a seed-stage, B2B product start-up backed by a silicon valley-based fund. Their current team is experienced, with multiple 0-1 successes.
After several months of development they've just launched their v1 product. This year they want to generate variants and proactively identify insights as soon as possible. So they are looking for a super-dynamic and enthusiastic designer to evangelise the product and push it to the limit.
The salary budget is healthy but they're not actually looking for someone that senior! Attitude and willingness to network and take part in the design community is more important to them.
THE ROLE...
The current designer they have is an excellent design systems thinker but they need someone stronger on the aesthetics side, which is crucial given that it will be other designers using this product.
Looking for someone to fully believe in the product, and what’s key here is that you’re happy getting out and talking about it, including doing talks at events etc. Moreover, they want someone who is excited by the prospect as doing this as part of their job.
Although the role is UI-focused, this person will also be working with users too; every month they conduct research with users.
YOU WILL NEED...
* Extensive design experience, with a focus on creating exceptional UI.
* Strong Figma user.
* Ideally you'll have previous and recent experience working for a start-up.
* A portfolio which conveys strong visual craft (I know that's everyone's favourite buzz word at the moment) i.e. engaging, colourful yet stylish, possible micro-interactions plus lots of other adjectives which are hard to actually quantify but ultimately it needs to really engage and delight from a visual perspective.
* Actively part of the design community and currently or willing to attend and speak at design events to champion the product further.
If this sounds like you then please apply ASAP with your CV & portfolio to stand the best chance of getting an interview.
