Jo Holdsworth Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a forward-thinking and dynamic law firm in the heart of Leeds in their search for a Fixed Term HR Manager to cover maternity leave.
This role will focus on providing high-level HR support to Directors, Global Chiefs, and senior leadership teams, ensuring best practices across the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a strong HR generalist with extensive Employee Relations (ER) experience, capable of handling complex cases at a senior level and people management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support leadership teams in the USA and the UK.
* Partner with senior stakeholders on workforce planning, talent retention, and leadership development.
* Manage the full employee lifecycle, from onboarding to exit, ensuring best practices at every stage.
* Oversee performance management processes, advising on appraisals and goal setting for senior leadership teams.
* Manage and oversee professional services team.
* Lead and deliver HR projects to improve engagement, efficiency, and compliance.
* Lead and manage complex ER cases involving senior employees, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance issues. Working closely with the Senior HR Manager.
* Conduct and oversee investigations related to employee relations matters at the executive level.
* Ensure compliance with employment law, HR policies, and best practice.
* Oversee HR systems and data management, ensuring accurate reporting and insights for senior leadership.
* Work closely with the wider HR teams on workload.
Skills Required:
* Proven experience as a Generalist HR Manager within a fast-paced environment, preferably professional services.
* Strong expertise in Employee Relations, particularly at the executive level.
* Experience advising Managing Directors, Chiefs, and senior stakeholders on HR best practices.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex HR cases with sensitivity and discretion.
* Proactive and dynamic way of working.
* Personable and able to collaborate in a team environment.
* Ability to hit the ground running.
