The role: As Health and Safety Lead, you will play a pivotal role in supporting all our residential care homes in the application of all aspects of health, safety and fire risk management working closely with home managers, regional directors, maintenance teams and other colleagues. Ensuring residents are safe and comfortable is at the heart of this interesting role. Key Responsibilities: • Undertake proactive and reactive health and safety audits. • Where necessary investigate accidents or dangerous occurrences and to produce reports to management. • Liaise where appropriate with health, safety and fire enforcement agencies and then produce action plans to address any identified statutory regulation failings. • Regular reviews of all risk assessments, residential care service health and safety protocols and ways of working. • Be a source of pragmatic and competent advice providing the technical expertise required for the organisation. • Support the Head of Health and Safety in reviewing and updating policies and procedures. What Were Looking For: • Level 3 H&S Qualification – NEBOSH National General Certificate or equivalent. • UK Clean Driving licence. • Auditor / Trainer experience. • Good knowledge of processes and procedures.
