6:30am start - 5pm finish, Monday to Friday
We are looking for a Delivery Driver to join our team at Appliance Shop. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering kitchen appliances to customers in a timely and safe manner. This position requires excellent customer service skills, the ability to work independently and a valid and clean driver's license. The ideal candidate will have experience driving in urban areas and be familiar with local roads and traffic laws. We are looking for someone who is reliable, punctual and has a strong commitment to safety.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery van to transport goods to customers
- Load and unload products from the van, ensuring proper handling and securing of items
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required due to the strenuous work required
- Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner, providing excellent customer service
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as checking oil levels and tire pressure
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the delivery van
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery van and warehouse
Skills:
- Warehouse experience is an advantage but not required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Familiarity with local roads, motorways and routes is an advantage
- Commercial driving experience is a plus
