BMSL Group are recruiting for an Auto CAD BIM Modeller for a prestigious project based near Bridgwater. This is a temporary contract for 6 months to begin with. The role will be site, office and home based.
Salary to be discussed during application process and dependant on experience.
Accountabilities:
1. To create and implement temporary mechanical & electrical building services design solutions for the Hinkley 'C' Common Building Services.
2. To ensure the integration, technical assurance, compliance, health, safety and sustainability of design and engineering to enable compliant defect free handover for operational service, delivered to programme and budget.
3. Coordination with the Principle Designer and Principle Contractor ensuring regular flow of information to comply with meeting the requirements of CDM.
4. Create 2D drawings for all disciplines including Electrical, Mechanical, Ventilation and support solutions.
5. Interrogation of 3D model and Information Modelling.
6. Space coordination, space management and clash avoidance for all disciplines.
7. Support the Design Manager and contribute to design / construction reviews.
8. Ensure design risks are considered and prepare design risk assessments. Communicate residual design risks to others.
9. Maintain personal expertise and knowledge to ensure that the business stream is at the forefront of the industry both technically and in using the latest technologies and standards.
Key Deliverables:
1. 3D fully coordinated MEP model.
2. 3D federated model (coordination with Hydrock BIM Manager).
3. Constructable MEP services.
4. 2D MEP stage 5 individual services dimensioned drawings.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience:
1. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, 2D, 3D, and Revit.
2. Proficient in the use of drawing set-up in accordance with national standards and best practice guidelines.
3. Proficient in the interrogation of 3D models using Navis works & Revit.
4. Understanding of Cobie deliverables.
5. Ability to proactively work and contribute as part of a large team.
6. Effective skills in planning, organising and prioritising personal workload.
7. Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels and other parties.
8. Must have at least 3 years relevant experience as a MEP CAD technician in major projects environment.
9. Knowledge of the basic principles, terms and procedures of engineering.
10. Working knowledge of drawing revision and issuing protocols.
11. Experience in interpreting basic sketches, plans and specifications.
12. Previous working knowledge of relevant systems, equipment, processes and procedures.
