In this role, you will lead spend categories within the marketing procurement area for Retail Promoters across Europe, reporting to the Head of Marketing Procurement. You should be adaptable, willing to flex to changing business needs, and open to travel.
We strive to support the business and its supply base in identifying the real currencies in play when we spend, be they talent, ideas, innovation, employee satisfaction or simply price. To give them the experience and tools to maximise the value that those currencies generate.
We want your vision, influence, business sense and strategic expertise steering marketing procurement. In this highly visible role, you’ll take full ownership, from a procurement perspective, of spend categories that directly support local and European top management decisions and deliver on the bottom line.
You will:
4. Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders to understand & define business requirements
5. Lead the implementation of European wide sourcing strategies in your category areas.
6. Identify, lead and collaborate with our in-country team for local sourcing projects
7. Manage strategic suppliers by monitoring performance, SLA’s and continuous improvement activities where required across your portfolio
8. Own contract information, KPI indicator data and approvals for your categories. Providing updates annually and monthly.
9. Develop and own long range category strategy
10. Negotiate and lead the commercial elements of category contracts
11. Support central initiatives, such as our sustainability goals, for improving the efficiency of CPE platform and overall procurement activities in Europe.
12. Develop and maintain a relationship with other category teams and Sony sister companies, where applicable, in order to find opportunities for joined procurement activities
You will bring:
13. Complex company background, leading indirect procurement categories within the Marketing
14. Experienced in developing, supporting and implementing European/multi country procurement strategies
15. A successful negotiator with excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills, equally focused on value for money, service quality and positive strategic outcomes
16. Numerate and logical – able to make and rationalise data-driven decisions
17. Strong customer service sense and attitude with a commercial and entrepreneurial driven mentality
