About the Role
The Technical Author role is a crucial position within the organisation, responsible for the creation and management of technical documentation for a variety of products and accessories. This includes the development of detailed manuals and data sheets, and utilising advanced software tools to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, accessory instructions, and maintenance guides.
* Maintain and administer technical files, specifications, and engineering libraries, ensuring compliance and data integrity.
* Collaborate with procurement teams and suppliers to support value analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Manage the delivery of finalised documents into the company's Digital Library system for streamlined access and organisation.
Experience & Skills:
* Proficiency in software tools such as SolidWorks Composer and graphic manipulation software.
* A thorough understanding of engineering or automotive terminology.
* Demonstrated attention to detail and advanced document management capabilities.
* Strong project management skills and effective communication across all levels of the organisation.
* A proactive, team-oriented approach, coupled with enthusiasm for engineering and manufacturing processes.
Qualifications:
* A proven high standard of English literacy, demonstrated through qualifications or professional experience.
* Experience in relevant fields such as automotive, industrial, or agricultural/off-road engineering is highly advantageous.
