This Credit & Collections Team Leader role is an exciting opportunity to shape the Jeanswear brands. To assess and control the level of credit risk, ensure that all customer accounts are accurately maintained and cash collections targets are met Support and control on AR- related reports, review their accuracy, address and resolve issues promptly Active contribution to cross -departmental projects, ensuring that Credit & Collections topics are reflected and the interdependencies are discussed and aligned As our Credit & Collections Team Leader you will; Motivate, focus and drive performance of Credit Controllers within your team. Coach and train team members and provide feedback to the Credit Controller in order to improve skills and competencies. Set monthly targets for the team, monitor performance during the month and assist where necessary. Reviewing and setting up new and existing customer credit limits, payment terms and payment method based on approval matrix Financial review of key customers to assign Credit Limit and payment terms. Daily monitoring and managing of the Credit Held orders, challenging the Team and Sales to resolve issues in order to maximise sales performance. Review ledger with each Credit Controller and support them in maximizing the cash collection on the debt. Ensure to have an action plan for overdue accounts. Review of the Aged Debt, providing focus and drive to the team, dealing with and resolving specific issues. Review action plan for debt, ensuring that all actions are fluid and are within a specific time line. Promote the ‘face’ of Credit within the Brands/Country; arrange meetings with Country Managers and Sales Directors to discuss credit issues and performance. Monitor the level of disputes, liaise with Customer Services to resolve issues and escalate where necessary Monitor seasonal order-book procedures, ensuring Credit suggestions are discussed with sales and customer service in advance of first shipping date to make them aware of any potential issues. Ensure correct and timely allocation of all cash, credit notes and journals Provide monthly Management Information showing performance of your team, targets set and achievement, issues to escalate, plus actions going forward Involved in Month End Reporting and any ad-hoc reporting. Review of recommendation on legal action against accounts suggested by Controllers, once all collection efforts have been exhausted. Review of write off journals up to the specified approval level and ensure all signed paperwork is submitted for SOX purposes. Actively participate in monthly review meetings and Team Leader meetings. Prepare the appraisals of your team members, agree and review action plans and assist/coach where necessary Be a point of escalation for your team Any ad-hoc roles and responsibilities based on business needs. Skills for Success: Education: To Degree Level or equivalent Experience: Ideally 3 Years Credit Control Experience in an FMCG/Apparel Company Leadership: Prior Supervisory experience is essential Language skills: Fluent Spoken & Written English one other European Language minimum.
