Macildowie are working with an Education Institution in Northamptonshire to appoint an Assistant Director of Finance to oversee the financial management of the organisations. This integral role will oversee the day-to-day processing of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with financial regulations. This role is responsible for producing management reports, improving financial processes, and managing four members of the finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Control financial transactions, including Accounts Receivable, Student Ledger invoices, and supplier purchases.
2. Ensure timely production of statutory and management accounts.
3. Review and improve efficiency in financial processes and procedures.
4. Prepare monthly accounts commentary and cash flow forecasts.
5. Conduct variance analysis and update full-year forecasts.
6. Update finance dashboards and support Finance Performance Boards.
7. Lead the annual Business Planning and Budget process with budget holders.
8. Liaise with internal and external auditors to support efficient audits.
9. Assist with year-end close down processes and group accounts.
10. Oversee financial aspects of annual student enrolment and debt recovery controls.
