Location: Weybridge (Mainly office based with some hybrid working flexibility)

Alexander Lloyd Executive Search are delighted to be retained to hire a Group Finance Director for a high scale manufacturing/construction organisation based in Surrey.
Reporting directly into the Managing Director, this role will play a pivotal role in not just leading the finance team day to day but also acting as a true business partner to the Managing Director. You will be supporting in key strategic decision making whilst the organisation is on an exciting high scale growth journey, which may also involve acquisitions down the line where the Group Finance Director will play a pivotal role alongside the Managing Director.
As Group Finance Director, you will oversee the entire finance function, ensuring robust financial control, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting across multiple business units.
2. Ensure strong financial controls, compliance with IFRS/GAAP and risk management.
3. Oversee cash flow, working capital, and cost control strategies.
4. Drive profitability and efficiency in project costing and financial reporting.
5. Manage relationships with investors, banks, and external auditors.
6. Develop and implement financial strategies to support company growth.
7. Previous acquisition experience would also be of keen interest.
8. Lead and mentor a high-performing finance team.
Candidate Requirements:
1. Qualifications: ACA, ACCA, CIMA with a number of years PQE.
2. Experience: Previous experience operating at FD/CFO level role.
3. Sector: Construction/Manufacturing sector experience would be desirable within a high growth/Scale up SME ideally.
4. Strong knowledge of project accounting, contract management, and revenue recognition would also be advantageous.
5. European/International entity experience: Multi-currency, and US reporting exposure would be of keen interest.
6. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
