Role Overview: Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (Behaviour Support) Location: Islington Interview Date: Immediate Contract: Full-Time / Permanent Salary: £102 - £115 per day (dependent on experience)About You:We are looking for a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant who: Has experience working with children with behavioural difficulties, SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, or challenging behaviour. Can implement de-escalation techniques and behaviour management strategies effectively. Is confident in building strong, positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and emotional regulation. Works well within a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with teachers, therapists, and other support staff. Is adaptable, patient, and committed to creating a safe and structured learning environment.Your Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with behavioural challenges. Implement behaviour support plans, helping students develop self-regulation and coping strategies. Assist in creating a calm and structured classroom environment where students feel safe and supported. Work closely with teachers and external professionals to tailor interventions and monitor progress.
