What We Are Looking For
Rheinmetall BAE Systems Land (RBSL) designs, manufactures, and supports world-leading military vehicles. This is a unique opportunity to join a team developing, manufacturing, integrating, and testing advanced armored vehicles.
The individual will report to the ‘Team Leader Assembly & Integration’ and be responsible for the assembly, integration, and testing of systems and sub-systems of modular structures (Mission Module & Drive Module) of the BOXER armored vehicle, ensuring quality and standards compliance. Relevant qualifications and experience are required.
Shift work and overtime are planned.
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Complete assembly, integration, and test tasks for MIV Boxer vehicles as per instructions, drawings, and standards.
2. Confirm integrity of vehicle systems, sub-systems, and LRUs, including basic testing and fault finding.
3. Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
4. Complete technical reports and assist Quality department.
5. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies.
6. Maintain a safe, organized workspace following 5S principles.
7. Self-certify work and maintain traceability through documentation.
8. Perform crane and lifting tasks safely.
9. Support logistics in parts handling and inspection.
10. Work at other facilities if required, including UK MOD sites.
11. Adhere to the company's code of conduct.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Level 3 qualification in Engineering/Manufacturing or equivalent experience.
* Assembly experience in electrical or mechanical engineering environments.
* Understanding of engineering disciplines and principles.
* Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
* Knowledge of quality control processes.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.
* UK MOD ‘SC’ security clearance (RBSL sponsors application if needed).
* Good communication skills and knowledge transfer ability.
* Motivated, disciplined, with attention to detail.
Desirable:
* Experience in low-volume, heavy manufacturing environments.
* Experience with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic systems.
* Knowledge of SAP.
* Heavy goods vehicle license (C Licence).
