About the role
Our incredible team focuses on providing various and nutritious meals to our residents which aligns with their care plans. The MercyCare team also focuses on safe food principles and promotes wellbeing. The successful candidate will provide line management to the Catering Assistants on shift.
About you
You will be caring, driven to make a difference, and looking to join a team that is making a difference every day in people’s lives.
* Minimum Cert III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent; Cert IV preferable
* Food Safety Supervisor certificate, or willing to obtain it
* Demonstrated experience cooking in a Residential Aged Care setting or similar
* Sound knowledge of Food Standards Australia New Zealand
* Sound knowledge of dietary nutrition requirements
* Demonstrated leadership experience
* Excellent interpersonal skills and participation as an active member of a team
* Good time management and documentation skills
* Infection Prevention Control Certificate
* Safe Food Handling Certificate (obtained within the last 12 months)
* National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
