We are looking to develop our occupational therapy team here on Ramsbottom Ward; therefore an exciting opportunity has arisen for an occupational therapy assistant to join our team.
Ramsbottom Ward is a 10 bed female ward for older people. We provide specialist assessments and treatment for females experiencing organic mental health problems such as dementia and cognitive impairment.
Under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist the post holder will be expected to:
- Deliver and implement planned and prescribed OT assessment, interventions, treatment programmes, group activities and care packages, within a structured OT model, under the direction of a registered Occupational Therapist, but without direct supervision.
- Work as an integrated member of the MDT.
- Follow the OT Process of Assessment/Planning/Intervention/Evaluation within the OT framework and the Model of Human Occupation, (MOHO), with regular senior OT supervision.
-Contribute to MDT assessments and OT assessments that measure clinical outcomes.
-Work within Mental Health Services to support OT interventions for service users who have complex and challenging needs.
- Receive clinical and professional supervision from Registered OT
- To carry out administrative duties as required.
