Our partner, BAE Systems, is seeking experienced Pipe Fitters to join their growing team in Portsmouth on a 12-month contract, offering competitive rates for both locals and those willing to commute from further afield.

What will I be doing?
BAE is on the lookout for a talented Pipefitter to join their team, to shape essential piping and plumbing systems and make a real impact both in the workshop and on ships.
In the Shop:
You'll craft a range of small and large bore pipework from a variety of materials, including copper and carbon steel. You'll use an array of hand tools and mechanical equipment to cut, bend, braze, and solder, welding pipes to perfection as you ensure that every system you create is functional and effective.
Onboard Ships:
You'll become an expert plumber for installing crucial ship utilities like sinks, showers, and toilets. Your expertise will also be called upon to fabricate and install pipework systems, big and small, using a range of materials to support the seamless operation of vital ship systems.
Pay rates:
BAE Systems offers a range of pay rates for PAYE and Umbrella contractors, depending on your allocated shifts and the distance you're traveling to reach the Govan site. You can speak to our team to find out more about the shift options by responding to this email.

1. Standard shift: 19.40
2. Early shift: 22.31
3. Back shift: 24.25
4. Weekday & Saturday overtime: 25.87
5. Sunday overtime: 32.33
