Maintenance Engineer
Location: CHANEL Head office, London
Reports to: Maintenance & Property Compliance Manager and Maintenance Team supervisor
Contract: Permanent
Your role @CHANEL:
The successful candidate will undertake test and inspection of various building services and equipment, in addition to routine and general maintenance tasks at our London sites, as well as providing cover/back up to the Croydon Distribution Centre as and when needed. Some travelling is required to carry out maintenance at our Manchester and Dublin sites in line with business needs.
What impact you can create at Chanel:
* General building maintenance, particularly electrical, as well as most of the following: decorating, basic plumbing, basic carpentry, lighting systems, access control, PPM, air conditioning
* Inspection, testing and maintenance of life safety systems including fire alarms, water sprinkler systems, emergency lighting and portable appliance testing
* Follow standard guidelines and manuals and accurately complete records as needed
* Compliance with Health & Safety guidelines
What you will bring to the role:
* Basic knowledge of building maintenance including, carpentry, painting and decorating
* Basic mechanical skills for fault finding, repair and adjustment of machinery, basic plumbing skills
* Good communication skills and the ability to liaise comfortably and appropriately at all levels
* Self-motivated, organised and enthusiastic with a flexible attitude and approach to work as well as the ability to work on own initiative
* Experience of manual work including some heavy lifting
* Knowledge of electrical services and equipment
