Position Overview: We are seeking a new dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to provide invaluable support to students within schools and educational settings in the area. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting students with their learning and personal development, enabling them to overcome barriers to education and achieve their goals. Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students, some who may have SEN. Assist students with their academic tasks, including reading, writing, and numeracy, adapting teaching materials and resources as necessary. Support students in accessing the curriculum and engaging in classroom activities, promoting their independence and confidence. Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and support strategies. Requirements: A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students. Experience working as a teaching assistant in UK schools. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
