About the Role: As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will work closely with students who require additional support due to learning difficulties, autism, ADHD, and other SEN needs. You will be working alongside experienced teachers and SEN staff to provide tailored support that helps students thrive academically and socially. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting students with classroom activities, ensuring they remain engaged and on task Supporting the development of social skills, emotional regulation, and behaviour management Helping with personalized learning plans and adapting materials to suit individual needs Building positive relationships with students, fostering confidence, and promoting inclusion Monitoring and tracking progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCO Offering one-on-one or small group support during lessons and at break times Ideal Candidate: A recent Psychology graduate with a keen interest in working with young people with SEN Passionate about making a positive impact on students’ education and well-being Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with young people Patient, empathetic, and adaptable with a calm approach to challenges Experience in a school or similar setting is desirable but not essential Knowledge of SEN strategies and theories is an advantage Why Join Us?
