Manufacturing Engineer supporting precision instrument manufacture.
Key Skills
1. Optical Electronics or precision instrument manufacturing.
2. A degree in Physics, Optics, Electronics or equivalent industrial experience.
3. Experience with CAD.
4. Ability to read electronic circuit diagrams.
5. Experience with opto-mechanical assemblies.
6. Writing scripts for automated measurements.
7. Familiarity with ERP Systems.
Responsibilities
You will contribute to the smooth running of the manufacturing line including:
1. Kitting of parts
2. Optical sub-assembly
3. Mechanical pre-assembly
4. Optical alignment
5. System test
6. Performance reports
7. Packing and shipping
Continuous Improvement
You will be involved in:
1. Continuous improvement, lean and 5S suggestions.
2. Cycle time reduction.
3. Cost reduction.
4. Quality and reliability initiatives.
5. Designing and sourcing jigs, tooling, and fixtures.
6. Training production staff as new processes, tools, and product variants are introduced.
