The role?
EnerMech have a new role available for a Financial Reporting Analyst to join the Finance team in Aberdeen, reporting to the Group Financial Controller. The Reporting Analyst will play a key role in supporting the Group Finance team by assisting with financial reporting, analysis, and controls. This position will work closely with other finance team members to maintain accurate financial records, produce reports, and ensure compliance with group policies. This role provides a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in financial consolidation, controls, and reporting in a global environment. Main responsibilities will include:
* Assist with accounting for transactions within central entities, ensuring accurate reflection in accounting records.
* Analyse financial performance for HQ costs, comparing actuals to budget and investigating key variances.
* Act as a business partner to cost centre owners for central functions, providing financial insights to help them manage budgets effectively.
* Assist with the running of the monthly close process, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve any issues promptly.
* Perform assigned monthly consolidation tasks including intercompany reconciliations and elimination entries to maintain accuracy across group entities.
* Help prepare monthly consolidated financial reports.
You are?
We are looking for candidates that are CA/ACA qualified or hold an equivalent certificate. You will be experienced in financial reporting, statutory accounts preparation or have experience in a similar role. You will have a solid understanding in IFRS and their application in financial reporting. You will also be proficient in Excel. Experience with ERP systems or financial consolidation software is a plus. Exposure to consolidation processes, financial analysis and external audit is preferred. Knowledge of financial controls frameworks and best practices is also preferred but not essential.
