Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for an Assistant Housing Officer on behalf of our client based in Birmingham.
This is a full-time role on a temporary 3-month contract (Ongoing) at £13.20 / hour.
This role supports housing management services, ensuring tenancies are well-maintained and communities thrive. Working closely with Housing Officers, the position involves case management, tenancy enforcement, resident support, and multi-agency collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in delivering high-quality housing management services.
* Conduct tenancy visits, investigate complaints, and enforce tenancy agreements.
* Support residents with housing advice, welfare benefits, and tenancy sustainment.
* Promote clean, safe neighbourhoods through engagement and enforcement.
* Maintain accurate case records and prepare reports.
* Collaborate with agencies to address community and tenancy issues.
* Ensure compliance with housing policies, safeguarding, and health and safety regulations.
* Support resident participation and community engagement initiatives.
Person Specification:
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Experience in housing, tenancy management, or community engagement.
* Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and policies.
* Proficiency in IT systems for case management and reporting.
* Ability to handle challenging situations professionally.
