ROLE
To provide secretarial, logistical, and clerical support to the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
i. Manning the switchboard and answering/directing calls and taking messages.
ii. Opening and distributing post.
iii. Receiving goods and booking onto company systems.
iv. Packing/shipping goods and arranging for couriers
v. The day-to-day management of the internal systems (software and hardware) to maintain the high expectations of the company.
vi. Carry out and documenting new/unique repairs and training technicians once repairs have become volume/mainstream.
vii. Planning and executing the maintenance and upgrade of internal systems to ensure that the company remains operational.
viii. Support any expansion with the installation and commissioning of new internal systems.
ix. Respond to requests/issues with internal systems raised by other team members in a timely manner.
x. Balancing the demands of the company against those of college to ensure that coursework is completed in a timely manner and of the highest standard.
xi. Keeping supervision aware of any study time required.
xii. Managing the company’s EBay store including the selling of old/redundant equipment.
xiii. Carry out such company project work as identified in collaboration with management and ensuring that these are completed to schedule and within any assigned budget.
xiv. Maintaining a task/project list with priorities/completion dates agreed with management.
xv. Reporting to management status and progress against tasks/projects.
xvi. Works in partnership with other departments to deliver the objectives of the company.
xvii. To assist in the service and repair of customer items when demand and capacity dictates.
xviii. Follow all company policies and procedures, in particular: Company’s Health, Safety and Security Policy, Performance management Policy, Attendance at Work Policy, Discrimination Policy, Equalities Policy and Data Protection Policy.
xix. Contributes to the overall ethos, work and aims of the company as set out in the Company Charter.
