Position Overview Raytheon Legal Contracts and Compliance (LCC) is seeking an experienced corporate business lawyer with a broad background in international operations, transactions, governance, cross-border assignments, and compliance. Reporting to the Raytheon Senior Director and Deputy General Counsel – Strategy and International, this position will serve as a lead supporting Raytheon’s international business pursuits. The position will work closely with other Raytheon LCC, RTX business units and corporate LCC colleagues, business partners in many parts of the organisation including colleagues in contracts, human resources/immigration, finance/tax, security, facilities, real estate, corporate governance, global ethics and compliance, global trade, Raytheon’s internationally operating businesses, and Raytheon’s domestically operating business that sell products and services internationally. The preferred candidate will have substantial legal experience advising on complex legal and regulatory transactions and compliance issues, and experience guiding businesses to address new legal and regulatory challenges and global growth. Key Responsibilities Provide legal advice and strategic guidance related to a portfolio of countries in which Raytheon operates and/or sells, serving as the primary legal advisor for related business matters, including offset agreements, joint ventures, and corporate governance. Partner with the Global Contracts function to lead negotiations with international customers and partners. Provide legal guidance to Raytheon’s Global Industrialisation team on global contracts, offset and localisation efforts, in support of Raytheon's long-term global strategy. Serve as a board member or officer of Raytheon’s international entities, providing legal support and strategic business planning, including reviewing capture strategies, proposals, and resolving complex operational matters. Act as a senior leader within the Raytheon International Legal team, developing and maintaining processes and procedures, identifying regulatory changes, and managing stakeholders and junior team members. Support process development and improvement projects, and manage outside counsel and third-party advisors globally within budget. Experience and Qualifications Post qualification experience in international transactional, compliance, and regulatory matters. Law degree from an accredited UK university. Membership in a legal professional body in the UK. Experience in cross-border transactional structuring and legal operations in non-U.S. jurisdictions. Ability to engage collaboratively with stakeholders, fostering positive relationships. Proactive risk identification and strategic thinking. Familiarity with non-U.S. corporate governance requirements and comparative law. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
