Radiology Receptionist: Nevill Hall Hospital
The Radiology Directorate within ABUHB is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join their Administrative and Clerical team. The role requires the need for a degree of flexibility to cover reception desk each weekend, Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8 and 5pm.
The successful candidate of this exciting post will be an integral member of the Radiology team based at Nevill Hall Hospital Abergavenny.
Working as part of a small team, they will be responsible for the day-to-day receptioning and maintenance of inpatient and outpatient appointments. The post holder will ensure service users have a positive and professional experience at all times.
Main duties of the job
* Ensuring all patients are processed in accordance with the internal and national targets, providing essential reception meet and greet service and processing request forms for Radiology.
* Making sure that clinic capacity is utilised so cancellations are kept to a minimum.
* All procedure appointments are booked in a timely fashion utilising list capacity across Radiology in ABUHB.
* Liaising with other team members to ensure that waiting times are kept to a minimum, working with the radiology referral and booking manager and booking service team.
* Ensure a professional and friendly telephone manner is maintained.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Job responsibilities
* Ensuring all patients appointments are processed in accordance with the internal and national targets.

* All appointments are booked within internal and national targets.
* Face-to-face reception contact, use of telephone, admin tasks and supporting the radiology Service.
* Ensure an efficient telephone service is maintained.
* May undertake training of own duties to new or less experienced staff.
* Ensure stock levels of stationary are maintained and ordered when necessary.
