The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for assisting the classroom teacher in various activities. The main duties include:
- Supporting students in their learning and development
- Working with pupils with ALN on a 1:1 basis on in small groups
- Assisting with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning environment
- Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
- Preparing classroom materials and resources
- Supervising students during break times and off-site activities
- Assisting with administrative tasks, such as record-keeping and documentation
- Collaborating with the teaching team to create engaging lesson plans
- Supporting students with special educational needs
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of students at all times
- GCSE or equivalent qualification
- Any relevent childcare qualification
Prior experience working in an educational setting, particularly as a teaching assistant, is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Read Write Inc and White Rose Maths programmes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

The Teaching Assistant will primarily work in a classroom setting, assisting the teacher during school hours. The role may involve some off-site activities and occasional participation in meetings or training sessions. It is important to adhere to the school's policies and procedures and maintain a professional and respectful approach towards colleagues, students, and parents.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
