Hatched Talent Solutions has partnered with a successful distribution business based in Newbury that is looking for an experienced Business Development Manager or Sales Development Rep to join the team permanently and on a UK remote basis.
Our partners buy and sell products globally, with exciting plans to expand their international business over the coming years. They have ambitious strategies and are targeting to continue their 40% year-on-year growth plans. You will support the Directors in achieving their 4-year goal of reaching £6.5m turnover, yearly and will be responsible for new and growing existing sales in a specific product portfolio.
Your main duties and responsibilities
B2B sales and generating leads
Identifying new business opportunities
Negotiating and closing deals
Building and maintaining customer relationships
Handling sales issues
Meeting and exceeding sales targets
Maintaining sales excellence
Attending conferences
When appropriate, sourcing and negotiating products for customers
Liaise with office departments to set up customer's requirements.
And other duties associated with the role
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in both SDR (Sales Development Representative) and BDM (Business Development Manager) roles
Strong cold calling and prospecting skills are essential, as 60-70% of the role will involve SDR activities
2-3 years of remote working sales experience
Negotiating complex commercials and dealing with approval processes
Experience with modern sales techniques, lead generation, and familiarity with CRM systems like HubSpot would be beneficial
Must be adaptable and willing to learn about scientific products
Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work in a partnership-oriented environment are essential
Patient and understand the long-term nature of the sales cycle in this industry

Whats on offer
Basic salary of up to £30,000 DOE
