An international law firm is looking for a Compliance Analyst to join their London team. In this role you will be a key part of the Compliance and Risk team, supporting the firm in maintaining its legal and regulatory obligations. This includes financial crime compliance, client due diligence (CDD), risk assessments, and other compliance-related processes.
Key Responsibilities for the Compliance Analyst:
* Perform CDD on diverse clients, including individuals, companies, and trusts.
* Analyse CDD materials, identifying any additional information required.
* Conduct client risk assessments during client inception and record updates.
* Screen for politically exposed persons (PEPs) and prepare submissions for senior management approval.
* Conduct sanctions screening using HM Treasury’s consolidated sanctions list.
* Address CDD-related queries from clients, partners, and staff.
* Conduct conflict checks using data from partners and fee earners.
* Monitor ongoing PEPs and perform sanctions screening for payments.
* Comply with all relevant legal and regulatory obligations, including Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) standards.
* Utilise databases such as World Check, Companies House, Orbis, and Experian for CDD information.
Qualifications:
* Law Degree qualification (preferred).
* Keen interest in anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing.
* Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
* Experience with Elite and AML databases desirable.
